“For the next two weeks we will be continuing our series of videos featuring student-athletes as they open up and discuss their experiences on campus. This week's video features a 2016 first team All-MAC student-athlete who is pursuing her degree in African American studies. She currently sits second in Mid-American Conference scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game.

Originally from Southaven, Mississippi, Joanna jumped at the opportunity to play basketball for the Bulls because of the unique mix of campus diversity as well as the team's potential to accomplish something special during her career.
